IPG is the biggest fiber laser manufacturer in the world with its high/medium/low power lasers having been widely recognized on the market. Actually many customers of S&A Water Chiller are using IPG lasers.
Mr. Cao is one of our customers in Shanghai mainly engaged in the development and production of 3D printing and he has just purchased a new IPG YLM400continuous fiber laser. Mr. Cao wished that S&A could provide a simple model-selection solution to him for the cooling of this continuous fiber laser.
S&A recommended CW-6000 water chiller to him. With up to 3000W cooling capacity and ±0.5℃ precisely temperature control, S&A CW-6000 dual temperature water chiller has a dual water recirculating cooling system to enable the simultaneouscooling ofthe main body of the fiber laser and the cutting head (the QBH connector). Also with the ion adsorption-based filter and detection function, it can purify the cooling water to satisfy the operation requirement of the fiber laser. The simultaneous cooling of the main body of the fiber laser and the cutting head with a water chiller can not only save the money but also the installation space.
However the customer preferred S&A CW-5200 water chiller. Our suggestion is that if S&A CW-5200 water chiller should be chosen, the cooling requirement of the IPG YLM400continuous fiber laser won’t be met unless two sets of CW-5200 water chillers have been used simultaneously for the cooling.
